Jackie is a native of Chattanooga, TN. and has created since she could hold a crayon in her hand.

She received BFA degrees in drawing/painting and printmaking from the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia in 1994.

Since then, Jackie has engaged with art as both a maker and teacher while raising her three children, Berkley, Sierra and Hadley with her husband Kevin.

Now their children are all in college, pursuing degrees in photography, ceramics and film (Creativity runs in their genes!), And Jackie is spending more time than ever in her home studio in Watkiinsville, Georgia.

Intricacies found in nature are a never-ending source of inspiration for Jackie. She desires to capture the relationship between the temporal and eternal in her work and enjoys exploring pattern and texture as she creates. Jackie works primarily in acrylic, though drawing mediums, collage pieces and other mixed media often find their way into her work.

Painting is life-giving to Jackie and her hope is to create a sense of joy and contentment within each piece of her art. There is so much beauty in this world to be found and celebrated!
